(HCMC, June 13, 2011) - In order to design a highly academic English camp with self-training games; to create an exchange opportunity for students of translation and interpretation in an innovative environment, to improve communication skills and using English as well as to equip them with soft skills; Center for Career Orientation and Human Resources Development (USSH-HCMC-VNUHCM) in cooperation with its partners co-organize the Cross-border Camp 2011.
Main theme: “Overcome the barriers of cultures and languages”
Time: June 25-26, 2011
Venue: Giang Điền Waterfalls Tourism Zone
Full package fee: 400.000VND/person (mark-up 25% for registrants after June 17, mark-up 50% for registrants after June 20). The full package fee includes entrance tickets, camping activities, transportation and meals.
Registration procedure: Application form will be available online at cross-border-camp.blogspot.com and fee submission will be made directly in the office.
Workshop papers and financial support:
- Every registrant is encouraged to contribute an outline of no more than 300 words which develops from one of the 5 topics: Generation gap; Cross-cultural love, Studying and working in a multi-cultural environment; Social activities in international environment; Global climate change: Exploration through cultural expression.
- Outlines should be submitted before June 18 via cross.border.camp@gmail.com with information: name of (co-)authors, contact, name of paper topic.
- The organization committee will cover 25% for 2 authors with highly rated outlines of each topic and those will be advised to deliver their final group presentation in the workshop.
- To encourage teamwork spirit, top 5 groups with good full papers will be supported with an amount equal to 50% participation fee.

09:30 Arrival at main gate of Giang Điền Waterfalls and move to camping area.
10:30 Camp setup
11:30 Take a rest and lunch
14:00 Teambuilding games.
17:30 Bathtime, dinner and rest
19:00 Workshop scheduled with 5 sessions in order of the 5 topics. Performances are arranged between the sessions.
22:00 Workshop ends and time for camping fire.
23:00 Free time and rest.
